Project Overview
A bold two-tone kitchen featuring deep navy blue base cabinets paired with natural maple uppers and glass-front display doors. This project demonstrates how color contrast can completely transform a kitchen's personality.
What We Were Working With
The homeowner wanted a kitchen that felt both modern and warm — something beyond the standard all-white trend. They had quality maple cabinets with glass inserts on the uppers and wanted to keep the natural wood visible while adding dramatic color to the base cabinets and island.
How We Solved It
We refinished all base cabinets and the island in a deep navy blue using our commercial spray equipment, achieving a smooth, even coat with zero brush marks. The upper cabinets were left in their natural maple finish, which we lightly sanded and sealed to enhance the wood grain. Glass-front doors were carefully masked and reinstalled to maintain the two-tone look.
Project Outcomes
- Dramatic navy and natural maple two-tone design
- Factory-smooth spray finish on all base cabinets
- Glass-front uppers preserved with fresh sealant
- Completed with kitchen functional throughout
- A fraction of the cost of new custom cabinetry
